Job Title: Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant
Job Summary
The Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant is a pivotal role responsible for the ongoing maintenance support and enhancement of the Oracle Fusion Financials suite of applications. This individual will act as the primary point of contact for all technical and functional issues leading a team to provide expert-level support troubleshoot complex problems and drive continuous improvement through development and customization. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials and a robust understanding of both technical architecture and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:
- Conduct workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to understand current financial processes pain points and business requirements.
- Analyze and document As-Is and To-Be business processes.
- Design and propose functional solutions by leveraging Oracle Fusion Financials modules (e.g. General Ledger Accounts Receivable Cash Management Bill Management Dispute Management Advanced Collections Credit Management Intercompany etc)
- Knowledge in Order Management e2r process.
- Perform fit-gap analysis to identify and document any gaps between business requirements and Oracles standard functionality.
- System Configuration & Implementation:
- Configure Oracle Fusion Financials modules in accordance with approved functional designs.
- Develop functional specifications for customizations reports interfaces and data conversions (RICE objects).
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical solutions align with functional requirements and best practices.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans including Unit Testing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Work with business users to facilitate and support UAT.
- Identify troubleshoot and resolve functional issues and defects.
- Data Migration & Integration:
- Work with technical teams to define data migration strategies and oversee the conversion of financial data from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of integrations between Oracle Fusion Financials and other systems (e.g. HCM SCM CRM or third-party applications).
- Training & Support:
- Develop training materials and user documentation.
- Conduct end-user training sessions to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption.
- Provide post-go-live support including troubleshooting issues and addressing user inquiries.
- Project & Professional Development:
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously adhering to project timelines and deliverables.
- Stay current with the latest Oracle Fusion Financials releases features and best practices.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through self-study training and professional certifications.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience: Proven 8 Years of experience as an Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant or in a similar ERP implementation role with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud Financials. Experience with full lifecycle Oracle Financials implementations is a must.
- Module Expertise: In-depth functional knowledge and hands-on experience in either O2C or P2P with more of the following Oracle Fusion Financials modules:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Cash Management (CM)
- Procurement (P2P Cycle)
- Order to Cash (O2C Cycle)
- Projects
Key Skills & Competencies
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of core financial and accounting processes principles and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Financials configuration and a solid understanding of Oracle reporting tools (e.g. OTBI FRS) and data loaders (e.g. FBDL). Familiarity with SQL and basic technical concepts is a plus.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues propose effective solutions and optimize system performance.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams stakeholders and business teams.
- Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks manage time efficiently and work in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud Financials certifications.
- Experience with other Oracle Cloud applications (e.g. EPM SCM HCM).
- Experience in a consulting environment.
