Data Engineer Student Program 2026

The Wix Data Student Program is your launchpad to a thriving career in data. Start your Data Engineering career by working on real systems at Wix. This immersive program is designed for students who want hands-on experience with modern data infrastructure in a product-driven environment where youll dive headfirst into the world of big data serving over 300 million users worldwide.

Through technical training engaging lectures workshops and projects led by experienced Data Engineers and industry experts youll gain exposure to how large-scale data platforms are designed developed and operated. Youll also explore how AI LLMs and GenAI are reshaping data engineering by learning to integrate best-in-class AI tools in your development workflow. By the end of the program youll join one of our Data teams as a part-time Student Data your day-to-day you will:
 

• Learn to ask the right questions understand business needs and translate them into robust data solutions 

• Design build and maintain scalable and reliable data architecture to support business needs 

• Develop data pipelines and workflows that move and transform data reliably at scale 

• Strengthen core engineering practices including orchestration testing data quality observability debugging and performance optimization 

• Collaborate with analysts software engineers data scientists and product teams to deliver trusted data solutions 

• Gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level data frameworks and technologies like Python SQL Spark Trino Iceberg Airflow Snowflake BigQuery and AWS

Qualifications :

• A BS/BA student in a quantitative field with 2 years left to complete your degree (graduating in July 2028 or later) 

• Availability to attend the programs training at the Wix Campus at least 4 days a week before the school year starts (AugustOctober) and 2.5 days a week during the school year 

• Proficiency in presenting work and communicating in English 

• Ambitious and business-oriented with an eagerness to learn how data engineering impacts businesses products and users worldwide 

• Passionate about data and its applications in solving business problems 

• A self-directed learner with a proven ability for independent self-learning

• Experience using various AI tools (e.g. Claude Cursor Codex etc.) in your development workflow an advantage
