Responsible for the planning and design of the district distribution networkensuring system stewardship network security and integrity at all times.Undertaking system analysis todetermineload/generation connections network alterations reinforcement requirements and to derive solutions in line with Asset Management policies and customer requirements

Whatyoullbe doing

• Agree the scopevolumesand unit costs to exploit best value from the regulatory contract

• Integrate asset stewardship values through sound engineering principles coordinated planning design and ownership to improve integrity safety and longevity of the electrical networkwhilst providingminimumscheme costs for customer connections.

• To drive continual performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback from internal and external sources.

• Consider the application of innovative solutions to all designs whether this be technologicalproceduralor commercial.

• To produce designsin accordance withunit or authorised prime costs to enable efficient delivery of outputs.

• Develop andmaintainrobust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power tofacilitatedelivery of customer and stakeholder strategicobjectives.

• Promote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities and incorporated into project designs.

Whatyoullbring

• Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies procedures and working practices.

• Develop working knowledge of healthsafetyand environmental legislation.

• Awareness of network development policies and procedures.

• Working knowledge of SPEN Project building and financial systems (PPM and PM)

• Develop customer service skills.

• Proactively build knowledge of network and the network management systems.

• Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.

• Developed negotiationcommunicationand people management skills.

• Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/ challenges

• Working knowledge of Energy Networks IT systems.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems includingPowerBi.

MinimumCriteria

• Previousexperience in a relevant area

• Computer literacy e.g. Microsoft Office suite

• Working knowledge of SPEN Project building and financial systems (PPM and PM)

• Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies procedures and working practices

• An effective and confident written and verbal communicator

• Ability to proactively build knowledge

• Confidence to work unsupervised
