Responsible for the planning and design of the district distribution networkensuring system stewardship network security and integrity at all times.Undertaking system analysis todetermineload/generation connections network alterations reinforcement requirements and to derive solutions in line with Asset Management policies and customer requirements
Whatyoullbe doing
Agree the scopevolumesand unit costs to exploit best value from the regulatory contract
Integrate asset stewardship values through sound engineering principles coordinated planning design and ownership to improve integrity safety and longevity of the electrical networkwhilst providingminimumscheme costs for customer connections.
To drive continual performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback from internal and external sources.
Consider the application of innovative solutions to all designs whether this be technologicalproceduralor commercial.
To produce designsin accordance withunit or authorised prime costs to enable efficient delivery of outputs.
Develop andmaintainrobust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power tofacilitatedelivery of customer and stakeholder strategicobjectives.
Promote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities and incorporated into project designs.
Whatyoullbring
Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies procedures and working practices.
Develop working knowledge of healthsafetyand environmental legislation.
Awareness of network development policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of SPEN Project building and financial systems (PPM and PM)
Develop customer service skills.
Proactively build knowledge of network and the network management systems.
Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
Developed negotiationcommunicationand people management skills.
Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/ challenges
Working knowledge of Energy Networks IT systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems includingPowerBi.
MinimumCriteria
Previousexperience in a relevant area
Computer literacy e.g. Microsoft Office suite
Working knowledge of SPEN Project building and financial systems (PPM and PM)
Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies procedures and working practices
An effective and confident written and verbal communicator
Ability to proactively build knowledge
Confidence to work unsupervised
