Working closely with first line teams and key stakeholders youll help shape strong compliance outcomes through thematic reviews control assessments insightled assurance and pragmatic advice. Youll be part of a collaborative CRO team that partners with the business to deliver commercially sound risk and compliance solutions.

What youll do:

• Provide second line compliance assurance oversight and challenge across Suncorp SNZ entities.
• Design deliver and continuously improve compliance assurance and testing programmes including thematic and deepdive reviews.
• Review and challenge the design and effectiveness of compliance controls governance and management information.
• Proactively identify areas of material regulatory and compliance risk and apply your strong communication skills to work with the business to close control gaps.
• Monitor compliance performance and trends using internal and external data to inform insights and influence future assurance reviews.
• Build strong relationships with first line teams CRO colleagues Legal Internal Audit and external stakeholders and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

What youll bring:

• Youll be a confident compliance professional who can balance independent challenge with strong collaboration.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce Business or Law
• 7 years experience in legal risk or compliance roles within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to provide clear robust and credible challenge at all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the confidence to engage across diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of compliance risk management frameworks controls and assurance practices.
• Broad commercial experience gained in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Insurance experience (highly regarded).
• High attention to detail and a structured analytical approach to assurance and testing.
• A pragmatic mindset focused on continuous improvement and risk maturity uplift.
• Strong customer orientation and commitment to delivering highquality timely outcomes.
