We are seeking a proactive and experienced Compliance Manager to lead our food safety and regulatory compliance efforts. This is a pivotal role that ensures our operations meet the highest standards while supporting business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain and continually improve the companys compliance systems procedures and documents (eg. HACCP RMP MPI standards internal audits)
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and prepare for external audits and inspections.
- Lead internal audits and root cause analysis for non-conformances.
- Identify compliance risks and opportunities for improvement and provide input on operational planning.
- Balance regulatory compliance with business needs by providing clear solution-oriented guidance.
- Provide compliance training to operational and QA staff. Promote a culture of accuracy ownership and continuous improvement across all levels.
About you:
You are a detail-oriented solutions-focused professional with a passion for food safety and continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working collaboratively across teams.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a food safety or compliance manager role preferably in the meat industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance frameworks (including MPI RMP and HACCP).
- Technologically savvy with the ability to streamline and modernise compliance systems.
- Solutions-focused mindset enabling the business to meet objectives while maintaining compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across teams and levels.
- A growth mindset and willingness to help others improve through training and guidance.
