Job Summary
Konza Prairie Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to support our dental team by ensuring accurate timely billing and reimbursement. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient revenue cycle operations while contributing to a positive patient experience through clear communication and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and a collaborative mindset along with a genuine commitment to supporting patient care.
Schedule & Perks
- MondayFriday Hybrid schedule after training (2 days in clinic 3 days remote)
- Clinics close at 2 PM every Friday
- Up to 200 hours (5 weeks) PTO annually

Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify dental coding (ICD-10 CDT HCPCS) for accuracy and compliance
- Submit and track insurance claims including follow-up on denials and resubmissions
- Post payments adjustments and reconcile accounts (EOBs/RAs)
- Manage patient billing balances and payment plans
- Respond to billing inquiries and provide clear helpful information
- Communicate with insurance companies and third parties to secure reimbursement
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
- Collaborate with dental and administrative teams to support efficient operations
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a dental clinic setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of dental billing and/or coding experience
- Certified Dental Biller and/or Coder
- Experience with Medicare Medicaid commercial and self-pay billing
- EHR experience
- FQHC experience
