Job Title: Java & Linux Production Support Software Engineer
Position: Senior Software Engineer
Experience: 4-7 Years

Shift: Flexible to support 24x7 shifts weekends and holidays as per project needs.

Employment Type: Full Time
Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 4-7 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are looking for a strong Java Production Support / Application Support Engineer with solid Core Java and Unix expertise who can manage 24x7 offshore support handle production issues and work closely with onshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring successful delivery of all offshore production support services for CGI customers.
Provide production support for client applications including:
Application monitoring
Issue analysis and troubleshooting
Bug fixing and resolution
Deliver 24x7 application support in a shift-based environment.
Perform enhancements and customization of the product based on client requirements.
Handle migration and patching activities across:
Operating System servers
Application servers
Middleware
Database servers
Coordinate with onshore teams and external agencies for daily operational activities.
Ensure timely incident resolution in compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
Flexible to support 24x7 shifts weekends and holidays as per project needs
Must-Have Skills:
Excellent Core Java knowledge
Strong experience with Linux / Unix systems
Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting
Medium-level exposure to SQL / Oracle databases

Good-to-Have Skills:
ANT scripting
JavaScript
JSP & Servlets
HTML & CSS
Exposure to AI Automation tools or scripting-based automation
