SAP Standard Developer

We are seeking a Standard SAP Developer with 35 years of experience in ABAP development on SAP S/4HANA combined with hands-on exposure to ABAP Cloud / RAP and a solid understanding of Clean Core principles.

The role includes development of side-by-side extensions and cloud applications on SAP BTP using CAP and SAP Build Code working closely with architects and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities SAP S/4HANA & ABAP Development:

• Develop and maintain SAP applications using Object-Oriented ABAP on S/4HANA
• Design and implement CDS Views and OData services
• Apply SAP standard enhancement techniques while avoiding core modifications
• Ensure performance stability and maintainability of custom code
• Develop solutions using ABAP Cloud standards
• Implement business logic using RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• Follow Clean Core and API-first development principles
• Ensure cloud compliance and ATC quality checks
• Develop side-by-side extensions and cloud-native applications on SAP BTP
• Build CAP-based services ( or Java)
• Develop applications using SAP Build Code
• Apply secure authentication and authorization concepts
• Collaborate with functional consultants and solution architects
• Participate in agile ceremonies and delivery activities
• Support testing phases and documentation

Required Skills & Experience Must Have:

• 35 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong knowledge of OO ABAP CDS Views and OData services
• Exposure to ABAP Cloud and RAP
• Understanding of Clean Core principles
• Experience with SAP BTP-side-by-side extension concepts

Nice to Have:

• SAP certifications (ABAP ABAP Cloud SAP BTP or related areas)
• Knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript
• Basic exposure to AI in SAP including SAP AI services or SAP Joule Studio
• Further hands-on experience with Clean Core best practices
