Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Were seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design and delivery of resilient secure Linux-based cloud platforms on AWS. Responsibilities

• Design implement and govern cloud architectures for Linux workloads on AWS ensuring reliability scalability and performance.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation) automation pipelines and Git-based CI/CD workflows to enable repeatable auditable deployments.
• Operate scale and optimize Amazon EKS clusters and containerized applications including observability and incident response.
• Ensure security compliance and cost efficiency across cloud platforms by applying best practices guardrails and monitoring.
• Partner with the Basis team RISE SAP stakeholders platform engineering teams and senior leadership to align cloud strategy with scientific and business requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors or masters in computer science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years industry experience.
• AWS: EC2 S3 FSx EFS RDS EKS AWS Transfer Family Load Balancers VPC IAM AWS Backup Resource Groups & Tag Editor Service Quotas CloudWatch CloudTrail
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform AWS CloudFormation
• Configuration management & automation: Ansible Bash scripting
• Linux administration and server hardening
• Cluster management: Red Hat PCS SIOS
• AD integration on Linux: SSSD VASD tools (or equivalent)
• Golden image management and patch set releases for regular OS patching
• Disaster recovery & resilience: CloudEndure AWS DRS (or equivalent)
• Monitoring & observability: Dynatrace (or equivalent APM/monitoring tools)
• Endpoint protection/EDR: CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor (or equivalent)
• Vulnerability scanning & management: Qualys Wiz (or equivalent)
• Performance scalability & cost optimization
• Security compliance & operational excellence
• Strong experience with ticketing systems: ServiceNow (SNOW) Remedy or similar ITSM tools
• Leadership communication & stakeholder management
• BASIC SAP ecosystem knowledge

Preferred

• Experience with additional cloud platforms and services.
• Advanced certifications in AWS or related technologies.
• Experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
