About the team:
Are you seeking a foundational role in the heart of financial markets This front-line position serves as your entry point to Market Operations where you will be the initial point of contact for all derivative clearing & settlement activities within the ASX. Your responsibilities will encompass the processing of exchange-traded futures & options as well as OTC products throughout their lifecycles as well as the processing of margin settlements of all cleared products and deal settlements for the ASX treasury portfolio.
In the role you will support ASX customers monitor clearing & settlement activity and process key market activities. The role works closely with internal (application support technology business development treasury) and external stakeholders (clearing participants) providing opportunities for growth and career development.
To succeed in this role requires strong attention to detail ability to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders and be thorough in completing assigned tasks and processes.
What you will be doing:
- Understand and operate the ASXs clearing and settlement systems including Calypso Genium DCS/MCM Austraclear and internal ASX clearing & settlement applications.
- Process the full product cycle of exchange traded and over the counter contracts listing expiries and settlements etc.
- Complete all clearing operational tasks following all procedures and checklists
- Support ASX treasury team in settling deals and being proactive with investment counterparties
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce operational risk enhance the customer experience and develop technical change
- Review and implement corporate actions on ETO products
- Engage and service a diverse range of stakeholders inclusive of clearing participants investment counterparties and ASX regulators
- Manage stakeholder queries ensuring alignment with the ASX Customer Communication Principles

Nice to have:
- Experience in the OTC market and its related processes and systems
- Understanding of futures and options markets.
- Exposure to back office or funds settlements
- Awareness of ASX clearing business
