Job Title: Oral Surgery Dental Assistant (DA)

Role Type: Permanent Per Diem / Part-Time
Job Summary
A leading clinical practice is seeking a skilled and motivated Oral Surgery Dental Assistant (DA) to join its this role you will collaborate closely with oral surgeons and healthcare professionals to assist in advanced surgical procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions dental implants bone grafting and IV sedation cases.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hands-on surgical environment and are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during procedures including extractions dental implants bone grafts and IV sedation cases
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments operatories and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control standards
- Monitor and support patients before during and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Take and process dental radiographs including panoramic and CBCT imaging (if certified)
- Provide clear and accurate post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
- Manage surgical inventory prepare trays and order supplies as needed
- Support anesthesia and sedation setup (IV or nitrous oxide) and assist with patient recovery under supervision
- Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to ensure smooth workflow and a positive patient experience
Required Qualifications
- 12 years of dental assisting experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- X-Ray Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in oral surgery
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification
- Experience with IV sedation and nitrous oxide
