Technical Account Manager

NYFORS Teknologi AB is an innovative supplier of advanced systems for splicing and processing of optical fiber. Our products are used by leading companies and research institutions worldwide in telecommunications aerospace defense medical technology and high-power laser applications.
We are now looking for a Technical Account Manager who will play a central role in our continued growth by driving sales processes from lead to close while building strong and long-term relationships with our customers globally.
THE ROLE
As a Technical Account Manager at NYFORS you will be the face of the company for many of our customers. You will drive sales processes for both standard products and more complex systems where you partly act as a coordinator and leverage internal technical resources to ensure that customer needs are met.
You will work in an international environment where all customer communication is conducted in English. Our customers are geographically spread across the globe which means you will interact with companies and organizations in many different countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
Handle incoming leads from the website trade shows partners and other sources
Drive sales processes from first contact to close
Lead sales meetings both in-person and digital
Attend relevant trade shows and events to represent NYFORS
Create and present quotations based on customer needs
Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing and new customers
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
Coordination
Act as a coordinator for sales projects where technical verification is required
Coordinate with engineers and technical specialists to ensure customer requirements are met
Document requirements specifications and follow-ups systematically
Ensure deals follow set timelines and that all parties are kept informed
CRM and Reporting
Work systematically in HubSpot to document all customer communication
Keep the pipeline current and forecasts updated
Participate in regular sales meetings and report status
Contribute to the improvement of sales processes and materials
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience and Background
At least 25 years of experience in B2B sales with complex products or systems
Documented success in driving deals from lead to close
Experience with long sales cycles (312 months) and deal values from 100 KSEK up to several million
Familiarity with coordinating technical resources in the sales process
Language and Communication
Fluent in English both spoken and written
Excellent ability to build trust and long-term relationships
Able to adapt communication to the audience from technical experts to business decision-makers
Technical Understanding
A genuine interest in technology and innovation
Ability to learn complex products and applications
Skilled at asking the right questions when engaging with technical experts
Understanding that customers buy solutions not just products
Personal Qualities
Self-driven but knows when to ask for help
Motivated by building long-term relationships rather than quick transactions
Systems Proficiency
Experience working systematically in CRM systems (we use HubSpot)
Basic understanding of ERP systems is a plus
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
Experience from industries such as medical technology laboratory equipment industrial automation capital equipment or similar high-tech segments is highly valued
Experience from photonics optics or laser technology
Experience in export and international sales
Experience working with distributors or partners
