Role Overview

We are hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in Västerås. In this senior expert role you will develop relay and control concepts for sub-transmission systems take responsibility for the electrical design of bay level cubicles in substations and collaborate closely with the core project team and operating centers (OPCs). You will provide advanced technical support and ensure high-quality delivery in transmission and distribution projects.

What Youll Do

• Develop relay and control concepts for sub-transmission systems

• Take full responsibility for electrical design of bay level cubicles within substations

• Collaborate with project execution teams in operating centers (OPCs)

• Review and prepare substation documentation and technical solutions

• Provide technical support during project phases including design reviews and troubleshooting

• Ensure solutions meet budget schedule and quality requirements

Who You Are

Must-Have Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering including leadership responsibilities and work with transmission and distribution design and a Bachelors or Masters degree is required or alternatively 15 years of relevant experience without a degree.

• SvK AC competence

• Advanced experience with CAD tool EPC ElMaster

• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English (mandatory)

• Valid SSG-Entré certificate

• Ability to work primarily onsite in Västerås (some remote within Sweden possible)

Nice to Have:

• Strong written and verbal skills in Swedish (meritorious)
