About the role

This role offers the opportunity to lead projects end-to-end collaborate across teams and ensure excellence in both program delivery and financial stewardship. Youll play a key role in shaping successful initiatives that make a real difference aligned with GRIs mission.
Responsibilities
Delivery
Contributes to grant activity planning following established project-management practices including e.g. the update of GANTT charts and the co-identification of a critical path for the project.
Assists in the implementation of day-to-day activities for project implementation including collaborating with monitoring progress on the yearly plan tracking performance indicators and making sure that any deviation from the plan is promptly addressed or escalated.
Works closely with the Grants Manager on project-management aspects facilitating compliance with donor requirements operational good practice and programme objectives.
Coordinates the grant narrative reporting process including tracking deadlines harvesting and reviewing inputs from implementing teams and supporting compliance with donor requirements.
Works closely with Grants Manager to reviews legal instruments for third parties (MoUs service agreements and grant agreements) ensuring alignment with programs objectives budget and deliverables managing senior leadership validation and signatures.
Supports activities and consultancies for impact measurement including reviewing MEL consultancies research projects and case studies assessing deliverables quality and stewardship with donor reporting requirements.
Provides support on financial operations including ensuring accurate tracking of expenditure in the ERP system cost-center verification and update of financial dashboards.
Cooperates with the Grant Manager and the Finance team in the preparation of budgets for new project by collecting data and ensuring accuracy and compliance of templates with the relevant policies.
Requirements
Work experience
Qualification in Business administration Management Economics or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role (i.e. managing donor-funded projects grant writing for non-profit organizations) in an international environment.
Experience of managing multi-country multi-year grants with institutional donors.
Experience with design & management as well as monitoring & evaluation for development projects and programs or a strong willingness to acquire these skills quickly through formal and on-the-job training.
Knowledge and abilities
Ability to operationalize projects effectively breaking down the path to project outcomes into outputs and activities and establishing reliable performance indicators.
Excellent organizational skills ability to prepare activity plans engage and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Flexiblity and capability to perform on a broad range of areas from capacity building to financial management monitoring and evaluation and narrative reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong analytical skills and desirable experience with PowerBI Excel or other analytical tools.
Attentive to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proactive and results-driven with the ability to build and maintain strong work relationships internally and externally.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment where change is ongoing.
Ableto work in an international and multi-cultural setting.
Affinity with the mission of GRI.
