Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst Level 1 to support financial operations trade capture and reporting activities. This role involves working closely with finance risk and IT teams to ensure accurate transaction processing reporting and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and record trades within SOX-compliant applications and perform end-of-day reconciliations and reporting.
- Verify positions and monitor daily risk metrics including Value at Risk (VaR).
- Reconcile broker statements and other external transaction records.
- Prepare and deliver daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and pricing reports to management.
- Manage electronic funds transfers and clearing transactions.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support small to medium-scale projects.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and contribute to business optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support development and enhancement of trade capture platforms.
- Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL and Power BI.
- Create and automate Excel-based reports using macros as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (preferably in Accounting Finance or related field).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros).
- Working knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of financial markets trade lifecycle and risk metrics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to SOX-compliant environments.
- Familiarity with financial reconciliations and reporting processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
