Teacher (Pre-Kindergarten Teacher) ESF Language & Learning Centre (Wan Chai)

ESF Language & Learning Centre (Wan Chai) is looking for a Pre-Kindergarten teacher to join our are looking for teachers who are passionate about working with our youngest learners who thrive in a highly creative playful and collaborative environment and who can make a positive contribution to our creative and dynamic community. The successful candidates will be committed to their own ongoing professional growth and be able to engage in reflective practices when planning an authentic curriculum. The position will be on a two-year contract starting August 2026 renewable by mutual consent.

Main Accountabilities

Teaching and Assessment:

• Planning a curriculum responsive to childrens learning diversities which promotes inquiry and ensures ongoing growth and development
• Using a range of appropriate strategies for learning and teaching and classroom management
• Maintain a well-organised and stimulating learning environment for our youngest learners
• Use technology to effectively enhance learning
• Using a range of assessment and reporting methods that show students achievement
• Provide clear communication of teaching and learning to parents and caregivers
• Ability to work across Early Years programmes

Wider professional roles:

• Collaborating with members of the school community to build a team environment that supports students learning
• Making an active contribution to the policies and aspirations of the school
• Planning and engaging in professional learning activities that support school and systematic priorities
• Taking responsibility for own professional development and using the outcomes to improve teaching and students learning
• Ensuring administration of classroom procedures is completed efficiently

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE/PGDE in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Holder of HK teacher registration and Child Care Worker/Supervisor certificate is preferred
• An understanding of the role of play in childrens learning is essential
• Experience working with two-year-old children in a pre-kindergarten setting will be an advantage
• Competency in using digital technologies to support learning and aid communications is preferred
• Experience in IB Early years settings (Pre- PYP Programmes is preferred)
