Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure within a dynamic IT environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability performance and security of network systems that power organizational operations and information flow.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise in networking technologies and a focus on maintaining high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Operations

• Monitor and maintain local and wide area network infrastructure including routers switches modems hubs and network appliances
• Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure optimal system performance and availability
• Maintain and support network connectivity technologies such as broadband frame relay and satellite systems
• Support enterprise wiring infrastructure including fiber UTP cabling wireless networks and network racks
• Maintain and support VPN infrastructure and secure remote connectivity

Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose and resolve network-related incidents and service requests
• Provide technical support for network devices configurations and infrastructure issues
• Install configure document and maintain network systems and components

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation
• Conduct risk analysis prior to implementing infrastructure changes
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations including submission of required documentation (e.g. 7100 and 7200 forms)

Project & Vendor Coordination

• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external IT service providers
• Support and manage network-related projects and initiatives
• Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve network performance

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventative solutions
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within IT network services

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT networking or infrastructure support
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Network hardware routers switches and firewalls
  • Network monitoring and performance tools
  • VPNs and enterprise connectivity
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise-level network environments
• Familiarity with network security best practices
• Experience supporting multi-site infrastructure environments

Work Environment

• Office-based environment with extensive computer and desk work
• Minimal physical activity required beyond standard office tasks
