About the Position:
The BCBA will be an active member of students educational teams as directed by the Director of Student Services. Through collaboration with school psychologists related service providers and general/special educators the BCBA will support programming for students ages 3-22 years old.
Essential Duties:
- The BCBA will conduct descriptive and systemic behavioral assessments including functional analyses and provide behavior analytic interpretations of the results.
- The BCBA will design deliver and supervise instruction in behavior analytic interventions student skill acquisition programs data collection systems schedules and other supports needed for students in least restrictive environments.
- The BCBA will oversee clinical and educational programming for students through monthly meetings with the team to review data collected and share observations and feedback in the direct instruction setting and inclusion setting.
- The BCBA will communicate with team members on a regular basis to ensure that the needs of the team and students are met.
- The BCBA will identify potential problems and provide recommendations as to how to solve or avoid them.
- The BCBA will effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
- The BCBA will provide direct services to students; experience working with students who present with a wide range of behavioral social-emotional communication academic and cognitive differences.
- The BCBA will train and supervise others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and deliver instruction in behavior analysis.
- The BCBA will report to the Director of Student Services regarding best practices in behavioral analytics and interventions in order to support consistency through the district.
- Knowledge of ACE Curriculum and the ability to train staff in how to utilize this instructional tool with students; models and trains staff on ABA techniques.
- Conducts and interprets functional behavioral assessments and is able to write behavioral intervention plans.
Qualifications:
- National Board Certification as a BCBA is required.
- Masters degree in applied behavior analysis.
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a public school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws regulations and best practices.
- Trained/able to be trained in Non-Physical and Physical De-Escalation and Crisis Intervention (such as CPI CALM or similar program).
