Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst to support enterprise database environments and ensure optimal performance availability and reliability of database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database administration performance tuning and data management and will work closely with cross-functional teams to support critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform database administration activities including installation configuration and deployment of Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance troubleshoot issues and implement performance tuning solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code including stored procedures functions packages and triggers.
• Manage database security including user accounts and access controls.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Design and maintain database schemas objects and data models aligned with best practices.
• Execute data migration data loading and data transformation activities across multiple data sources.
• Optimize SQL queries and collaborate with development teams to improve application performance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting and scheduling tools (e.g. CRON).
• Perform regular database monitoring diagnostics and maintenance activities.
• Support deployment of application and database changes in production environments.
• Participate in troubleshooting production issues and provide timely resolution.
• Maintain documentation and provide regular status updates on assigned tasks and activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c and multitenant architecture.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficiency in shell scripting or other automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience with database backup and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of database design data modeling and SDLC processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle RAC ASM or Exadata environments.
• Strong experience in SQL performance tuning and database architecture.
• Experience with Oracle multitenant (container database) architecture.
• Knowledge of data masking and Test Data Management tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI AWS or Azure).
