Your Role

We are looking for a Commerce Platform Architect to join a central IT team supporting global digital this role you will oversee technical delivery and define implementation approaches across customizations integrations system architecture and data models.

You will act as the key technical authority guiding agile delivery teams through architectural decisions and ensuring solutions meet both current business needs and future scalability requirements. The focus is on building a robust modular and future-proof commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders functional teams and architects to translate business needs into technical solutions
  
• Define and design scalable secure and high-performing commerce architecture including integrations with other enterprise systems
  
• Communicate and present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  
• Guide agile teams in defining documenting and implementing technical requirements and development standards
  
• Identify and manage technical risks related to complexity integrations performance and scalability
  
• Perform technical analysis document architectural decisions and validate development estimates
  
• Troubleshoot complex challenges and propose sustainable innovative solutions
  
• Oversee platform lifecycle activities including upgrades transformations and optimizations
  
• Identify and reduce technical debt in collaboration with architecture teams
  
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and platform quality
  
• Stay up to date with advancements in digital commerce technologies and assess their impact
  
• Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and support team capability growth
  

Your Profile

• 5 years of experience in commerce platform implementation and project delivery
  
• 7 years of experience in software development and programming
  
• Proven track record as a technical or solution architect within e-commerce environments
  
• Strong understanding of commerce architecture data modeling and development best practices
  
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
  
• Proficiency in Java (Spring framework) front-end technologies (e.g. Angular JavaScript)
  
• Knowledge of microservices architecture principles
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  
• Leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor development teams
  
• Comfortable working in dynamic fast-paced environments
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks or headless commerce solutions
  
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. Azure or similar)
  
• Relevant platform certifications
  
• Experience with digital asset management or content platforms
