Primary Accountability:
The Vice President of Clinical Integration and Operational Excellence will use their extensive expertise to guide Community Health Centers in driving clinical excellence operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. They will leverage their knowledge to collaborate with Community Health Centers in strengthening their clinical and operational processes to ensure long-term success and sustainability. Additionally they will work to identify and implement emerging technologies that serve as force multipliers in resource-constrained environments. The Vice President of Clinical Integration and Operational Excellence will serve as a liaison and mentor Community Health Centers providing guidance and support as they navigate new and evolving challenges. This position also supports the sustainability development and implementation of MPCA programs and service lines that directly contribute to the viability and sustainability of Missouris community health centers.

Major Duties:
  • Oversees system-level transformation in Community Health Centers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on clinical operations practice management risk management regulatory compliance and health care innovation strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and at the elbow support in leading practice transformation initiatives including comprehensive operational assessments change management and strategic growth planning.
  • Provide support to Community Health Centers to ensure full regulatory compliance while maintaining fiscal responsibility and ensuring adherence to CMS and Medicaid guidelines maximizing revenue capture and effectively aligning clinical and financial teams around shared performance goals.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Centers to assess analyze and improve operational processes while guiding cross-functional partners to achieve established goals. Communicate clearly and effectively with impacted team members to drive organizational progress and alignment. (Ex: clinical practice risk management risk assessment compliance emergency management operational process)
  • Collaborates and provides support across MPCA teams and programs to access analyze and improve operational process while guiding cross-functional teams to achieve MPCAs strategic goals.
  • Monitors regulatory and policy issues that impact Community Health Centers. Communicates changes and advises on the implantation and integration of changes.
  • Oversees the MPCAs CHC Chief Operational Officer Network.
  • Oversees the MPCAs Emergency Preparedness Initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Clinical Operations and Practice Management
  • Minimum of five (5) years working in or with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC); possessing a comprehensive understanding of FQHCs and the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape
  • Experience in leading practice transformation initiatives required
  • Experience in leadership development change management and systems level change require
  • Experience in quality and process improvement required; certifications preferred (ex: Lean Six Sigman Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ))
  • Has a broad clinical experience collaborating with interdisciplinary partners developing standardized practices and protocols that support patient-centered care and outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with staff at all levels frontline to c-suite
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal in a professional manner that supports the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of MPCA and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills the ability to prioritize and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit stand walk reach and use hands and fingers for extended periods of time.
  • Performing physical activities which require considerable use of your arms and legs for moving your entire body such as climbing lifting balancing walking bending kneeling crawling stooping and handing of materials.
  • Ability to read computer screens mail e-mail and talk on the phone.
  • Ability to unpack and move supplies up to thirty (30) pounds.
  • Ability to drive an automobile and possess a valid drivers license.
Work Environment:
  • Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting.
  • Interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Work hours will be variable depending upon the scheduled activities at the office.
  • Estimated work is approximately 30 hours per week not to exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Job duties will be performed onsite at the Jefferson City MO location.
Travel:
  • Travel will be expected both inside and outside of Missouri.
