Job Summary

Real Estate Specialist

The Real Estate Specialist position is responsible for supporting the distribution of the firms real estate investment capabilities including core value-add and opportunistic equity & debt portfolios across a range of investment vehicles. The Specialist partners with Sales Product Marketing and Investments to best position Nuveens real estate capabilities with prospective and existing clients primarily in the Institutional channel. The role is a subject matter expert possessing deep familiarity of real estate and of Nuveens investment strategies in related asset classes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leads the growth and retention of Nuveens Real Estate assets across institutional channels and consultants
  • Understand and be able to conduct detailed discussions on real estate and on the full range of Nuveen real estate strategies and products in related asset classes
  • Distinguish Nuveens real estate products/solutions from those of other competitors
  • Serve as an expert point of contact for investment-related questions and coverage for prospective investors clients and salespeople
  • Stay current on industry developments and Nuveen products
  • Provide creative product and solutions ideas based on investor and client needs
  • Leverage internal resources in order to drive and grow business activity
  • Provide feedback from investors and clients to internal partners to inform new products and opportunities

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

  • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63 or Series 66

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of real estate capital raising experience
  • Series 7 and Series 63 and/or Series 66

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years fundraising experience
  • Existing consultant and plan sponsor relationships
  • Knowledge of institutional eco systems

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $200000/yr - $259950/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience time in role base salary of internal peers prior performance business sector and geographic addition to base salary the competitive compensation package may include depending on the role participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example annual discretionary incentive programs non-annual sales incentive plans or other non-annual incentive plans).
