Assistant Valuer | Valuation & Advisory Services
Job Summary
Accelerate your success by becoming an Assistant Valuer within our highly regarded Valuation and Advisory team based in the Brisbane CBD. This is a rare opportunity for a recent property graduate to work alongside and be mentored by our experienced team of market leading specialists.
You will be exposed to and perform detailed valuations on a range of asset classes including commercial and industrial in addition to undertaking development feasibility and market research.
Some of your key duties:
- Contribute to the preparation of valuation reports providing clear insights into property values and associated risks.
- Assist with on-site property inspections to verify physical property attributes and site conditions as well as analyse local comparable sales and leasing evidence to support valuation assessments.
- Attend client and industry functions to interact with clients and gain market/business knowledge as well as expand your professional network.
- Assist in the preparation of fee proposals for various valuations across multiple asset classes.
- Assist with data collection (e.g. sales/leasing deals) to keep updated databases for valuation purposes.
- Conduct financial market and risk analysis across multiple asset classes in order to support valuations.
- Maintain data for properties under supervision.
- Ensure valuations comply with internal quality assurance processes and reporting standards.
Qualifications :
To succeed in this role you will require:
- Superior analytical and written skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear well-reasoned and justified conclusions.
- Currently enrolled or completed a tertiary qualification eligible for Australian Property Institute (API) membership.
- Strong problem solving and analytical capability to generate information that provides sound business decisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive and self-motivated ability to add value to the team and take initiative
- Computer literacy particularly with MS Excel and MS Word
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the business
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
