FP&A Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented FP&A & BI Analyst to join our Finance team at our manufacturing facility. This role combines financial planning and analysis responsibilities with ownership of business intelligence and data analytics initiatives within the finance function.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing finance cost accounting and financial planning combined with advanced MS Power BI and data analytics capabilities. This individual will help modernize reporting processes strengthen KPI governance and deliver actionable insights to both Finance and Operations leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain MS Power BI dashboards and reporting tools for Finance and Operations
- Automate recurring reporting and improve reporting efficiency across the finance function
- Build and maintain data models and ensure consistency of financial and operational data
- Translate complex data into actionable insights to support decision-making
- Strengthen KPI tracking and governance across the manufacturing site
- Ensure accuracy consistency and reliability of financial data used in reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual work
- Support the introduction of new technologies and analytical tools within the finance processes
- Act as the key analytical partner to the Controller and operations leadership
- Partner with Operations and other functions to analyze business drivers and financial results
- Prepare financial reports dashboards and presentations to the site leadership team
- Support the annual budgeting process periodic forecasts and month end closing processes
- Partner with the cost accounting team to monitor and analyze production variances
- Support cost structure analysis standard cost updates and cost roll process
- Collaborate with Operations to analyze inventory levels trends obsolescence risks and support working capital optimization initiatives
- Lead material cost variance analysis and reporting in collaboration with the Supply Chain team
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Statistics or a related field
- Strong experience in FP&A and cost accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or Tableau (dashboard development data modeling DAX)
- Strong MS Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL Python or other data analytics tools
- Experience working with ERP SAP 4/HANA
- Exposure to automation or finance digitalization initiatives
- Experience improving reporting systems or BI solutions
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs cost drivers and operational performance metrics
Additional Information :
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $110000.
Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location role degree/credentials relevant skill set and level of relevant experience.
