Job Summary
ASSISTANT WOMENS BASKETBALL COACH
Bridgewater College a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Womens Basketball Coach to begin immediately. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head Womens Basketball Coach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III womens basketball program
- Assisting the head coach with budget management
- Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College
- Assisting the head coach with game day preparation
- Organizing & conducting on-court coaching during practices and games
- Developing detailed scouting reports for game opponents
- Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes particularly in regards to academics and player development
- Ability to execute program related tasks as assigned by the head coach
- Complying with all NCAA conference and college policies and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree required Masters Degree preferred.
- Prior collegiate coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate playing experience required.
- Strong communication skills
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the colleges auto insurance carrier
Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
