Position: Accounting Assistant (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)

Pay Rate: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support a busy health plan organization in Pasadena. This role focuses heavily on handling incoming payments accurate data entry and supporting accounting operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Open sort and process incoming checks in a timely manner
Accurately record and post payments into the companys CMS/accounting system
Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Assist with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions
Reconcile payment records and identify discrepancies
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Work across multiple systems and software platforms efficiently
Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed

Qualifications

13 years of accounting support experience (AR/AP preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable with excellent attendance and work ethic
Comfortable working with multiple systems and accounting software
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong math and numerical skills
Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy
