Job Summary
Subject to Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve as SO2 Plans at DBS Armed Forces and Veterans Services (AFVS) on FTRS(LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 1 Aug 26 or earlier if achievable.
Unit Function:
Support operational effectiveness through delivering reliable trusted and efficient HR services to the regular reservist and veterans communities.
Position Role:
Deliver and coordinate staff-support to Hd Armed Forces and Veterans Services.
Responsibilities:
- Support COS and DHd AFVS to deliver Defence Business Services (DBS)-directed tasks and outputs.
- Integrate military knowledge and lived experience into AFVS Strategy and Operations to drive appropriate outcomes for Service People and Veterans.
- Prepare briefings and presentations for use by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Lead Mil WF Plans liaising with FLCs to generate fills and posts (as required) and supporting the transition of ways of working into the National Armaments Director (NAD) Group including maintaining establishment information and Job Specifications
- Support Hd DHd and COS AFVS to define and deliver initiatives aligned to the organisations service catalogue using qualitative and quantitative insight to advise on priorities and improvement actions.
- Represent the AFVS Senior Leadership Team at meetings as directed back briefing effectively in a timely manner.
- Support Hd AFVS with internal and external stakeholder engagement activities as required.
- Support the Risk Management lead to work with stakeholders to identify assess and report risk and issues within AFVS
