Group Manager Artificial Intelligence

Role Summary

We are seeking a technically strong and visionary Group Manager to lead our AI research & development this pivotal role you will lead the research development and deployment of AI models especially for tabular and time-series data thereby shaping the future of intelligent systems at Bosch. You will work closely with Bosch business units to identify key challenges and opportunities translating them into innovative scalable solutions that deliver significant impact across all Bosch businesses. Beyond internal collaboration you will also be responsible for building and maintaining robust connections with academic partners ensuring we remain at the forefront of AI innovation. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive transformative change and establish Bosch as a leader in the industrial application of advanced AI.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Identify strategic opportunities for applying AI to Bosch domains for engineering and manufacturing use cases.

Manage and mentor a high-performing interdisciplinary group of AI researchers engineers and architects driving delivery of scalable industry-strength products

Foster an AI-first engineering culture focused on innovation speed and engineering excellence

Innovate (cloud-based) industrial AI applications based on a profound understanding of latest trends in AI architectures and methods especially for tabular and time-series data

Collaboration & Global Delivery

Work with global cross-functional teams across time zones including research product management and engineering

Translate advanced research innovations into deployable industrial solutions

Partner with stakeholders to align delivery with product strategy

Engineering Excellence

Cultivate software & AI engineering best practices including architecture governance code reviews testing and documentation

Promote secure reliable and high-quality software delivery

Guide & support architectural decisions in AI feature development of cloud-based industrial AI and software applications with focus on AI for time series and tabular data.

Qualifications :

       An advanced degree in AI Computer Science or a related technical field.

       Strong technical background in (Generative) AI methods for time series and tabular data.

       5 years of professional experience with a proven track record of delivering production-grade AI features for cloud-based industrial AI and software applications in time spec and quality.

       5 years of experience building up and managing AI engineering teams

       Proven track record in driving innovation in the context of AI feature development and inspiring teams to contribute.

       Excellent communication skills.

       High experience in working in international interdisciplinary teams.

       Fluent in English. German language skills are a plus.

       Experienced with cloud-based AI and software applications for manufacturing is a plus.
