Job Summary
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass Client required background clearance.
- Valid Drivers LicenseDriving is required for this position.
- Overtime/Weekend work will be required occasionally.
- Industrial/Commercial HVAC experience with refrigeration and control systems.
- Must have good electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Adequate computer proficiency to operate job-related applications.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of HVAC vocational training or 5 years of facilities maintenance experience.
- Universally EPA certified.
- Knowledge of using Laptop and building automated system software.
- Ability to read blueprints: mechanical electrical and plumbing.
- Ability to maintain and install sheaves (pulleys) belts and bearings on AHUs
- Knowledge of working on AHU motors up to 100 hp.
- Ability to troubleshoot up to 480 Volts.
Responsibilities:
- Services and repairs environmental control systems in office buildings and other commercial/industrial settings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including cleaning lubricating and inspecting components.
- Strong computer skills required for troubleshooting and correcting digital control software.
- Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units with Pro-press unions solder and brazing.
- Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot joints and connects for leaks using gauges or soap and water solution.
- Ability to do minor insulation repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical components fuses contractors controls etc.
- May service and repair air conditioners up to 200 tons of cooling capacity in buildings.
- Troubleshoot vav controls.
- Performs other duties as assigned such as electrical plumbing or general maintenance.
