Job Summary
Job Title: Travel LPN / LVN Rehabilitation / Med-Surg
Location: Syracuse New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role may involve working across rehabilitation med/surg or emergency department units based on prior experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an acute care environment and able to function with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in acute care rehabilitation or med/surg settings
- Assist with patient assessments treatments and daily care activities
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during exams and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Maintain clean and organized clinical and exam areas
- Support administrative functions including scheduling and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation
- Observe and report patient responses to treatments
Schedule & Work Details:
- 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Unit placement based on experience
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
Requirements:
- Current New York State LPN license
- CPR certification (current or eligible for recertification)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Prior inpatient or acute care experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
