As a new Packaging Technician on the 2nd Shift at Placon Corporation you can expect an engaging and fast-paced environment where your skills will shine! Your day-to-day tasks will involve setting up and operating packaging machinery inspecting products for quality assurance and ensuring that all packaging meets our high standards. Collaboration with team members is key as youll be working together to troubleshoot any issues that arise and continuously improve processes. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with occasional overtime as needed to meet production demands. You will also keep meticulous records of production metrics and participate in team meetings for ongoing training and development.

What you need to be successful

To thrive as a Packaging Technician on the 2nd Shift at Placon Corporation certain skills are vital for your success. Proficiency in operating thermoforming machines and case tapers is essential along with expertise in using measurement tools to ensure product accuracy. Familiarity with ERP systems particularly Oracle will help streamline your workflow and enhance overall efficiency. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Operation of thermoforming machines
• Case tapers/Tape guns
• Measurement tools; proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle); ability to read product drawings and perform dimensional measurements; understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and 5S methodology; basic math problem-solving; safety and PPE compliance
