OTR Lease Owner Operators

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced OTR Owner Operators to join our fleet. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across long-distance routes providing reliable freight delivery services. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in commercial driving with proficiency in handling various trailer types and cargo. As an Owner Operator you will be responsible for managing your own equipment while ensuring timely and safe deliveries across multiple regions.

Outbound: 1.58 a loaded mile plus fuel

Inbound: 83% of the backhaul

1. Must provide certificate of workers compensation

2. Miller Expedited Freight carries the Cargo and Liability and pays for it. Owner Operators are responsible for Physical insurance and workman compensation insurance or occupational accidental coverage insurance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dry van tractor-trailers
• Load and unload freight efficiently and safely at designated locations
• Maintain compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations
• Plan routes to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safety standards are met
• Document delivery details accurately and submit necessary paperwork promptly
• Adhere to all safety protocols including proper securing of cargo and safe driving practices
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise

Requirements

• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL)
• 24 Years of age
• Proven 3 years of experience in truck driving
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicles
• Ability to operate tractor-trailers
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage schedules independently as an Owner Operator
