Product Owner Business Systems Analyst (Data & Analytics)

Job Description - Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst (Data & Analytics) - 7 Years Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst (PO/BSA) with 7 years of experience and strong expertise in Data & Analytics preferably within the Healthcare / Pharmacy (Rx) domain. The ideal candidate will work closely with Scrum teams business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to deliver Data Engineering Reporting and Analytics solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives and data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Agile Delivery Act as a Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams owning the product backlog and prioritization Create and manage epics features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria Collaborate with Scrum teams in sprint planning backlog grooming reviews and retrospectives Ensure deliverables align with business value and data strategy objectives Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement Gather analyze and document business requirements related to data engineering and analytics solutions Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for development teams Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams Facilitate workshops requirement discussions and stakeholder sign-offs Data & Analytics Delivery Drive delivery of Data Engineering Reporting and Analytics projects Work with teams on data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse solutions Support development of reports and dashboards (Power BI Tableau etc.) Ensure data accuracy validation and reconciliation across systems Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with data engineers architects QA teams and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Work across multiple IT teams and business units to ensure seamless execution Drive alignment between data architecture reporting and business needs Healthcare / Domain Responsibilities (Preferred) Work with Healthcare / PBM / Rx datasets (claims benefits membership provider data) Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA EDI transactions) Support data-driven use cases in member services pharmacy benefits and analytics reporting Required Skills & Experience 7 years of experience in Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst roles Strong experience in Data & Analytics / Data Engineering projects Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Hands-on experience with: User story creation backlog management and Agile ceremonies SQL and data analysis concepts ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI Tableau Cognos) Strong experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Prior experience in Healthcare / Pharmacy (Rx) domain (Elevance preferred) Knowledge of: Claims Membership Provider Benefits data HIPAA / EDI (transactions) Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure Snowflake) Experience with data pipeline orchestration and APIs Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
