QA Mobile app testing and API testing with Appium Delhi

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer experience in Manual and Automation Testing with strong expertise in Mobile Application Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms while ensuring seamless integration with backend services through API testing. This role requires strong experience in test case design defect tracking API validation and Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements user stories and technical specifications for mobile applications and backend services.
Design develop and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios for mobile applications and APIs.
Perform functional testing regression testing integration testing and exploratory testing.
Test mobile applications across Android and iOS devices different OS versions and screen sizes.
Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools including verification of status codes request/response payloads headers and error handling.
Conduct end-to-end API workflow testing to ensure proper integration between mobile apps and backend systems.
Execute SQL queries for backend data validation where required.
Identify log track and retest defects using JIRA or other defect management tools.
Collaborate closely with developers product owners QA teams and DevOps teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning backlog grooming daily stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Support release cycles by performing smoke testing sanity testing and regression testing.

Required Skills
5 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
Strong hands-on experience in Mobile Application Testing (Android and iOS).
Experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.

Experience of automation tools such as Appium
Good understanding of REST APIs JSON HTTP methods and status codes.
Experience in test case creation execution and defect lifecycle management.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL queries for backend data validation.

Good to Have
Experience working with mobile device labs emulators or simulators.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of performance testing tools or API automation frameworks.
