Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Meyer Plastics Inc. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all plastic products meet established quality standards customer specifications and regulatory requirements. As a Quality Assurance Specialist you will play a crucial role in monitoring production processes conducting inspections and implementing quality control procedures to maintain consistency and compliance across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and testing of raw materials in-process components and finished plastic products
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications
• Monitor production processes such as injection molding extrusion or blow molding
• Document and report defects non-conformances and quality issues
• Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Maintain quality records reports and documentation
• Conduct internal audits and support for external audits as needed
• Utilize measurement tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges
• Assist in developing and enhancing quality control procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO guidelines)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred in a related field)
• 13 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing (experience with plastics preferred)
• Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes (injection molding extrusion etc.)
• Basic knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and teamwork skills
