Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures on adolescent adult and geriatric patients. This includes operating equipment administering radiopharmaceuticals and ensuring patient safety. The technologist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and must have experience with EPIC.
Location:Rancho Mirage California United States
Responsibilities:

- Perform nuclear medicine procedures including but not limited to Gastric Emptying HIDA Scan Muga Scan Bone Scan Brain Scan Liver/Spleen Scan Lung Scan Renal Flow Shunt Studies Thyroid Studies Tumor Localization and SPECT scans.
- Perform Nuclear Cardiology procedures including Myocardial Exercise/Rest-Multiple Exercise/Rest-Single and Pharmacological Stress tests.
- Draw venous blood samples.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Start and maintain peripheral IV lines.
- Store handle and dispose of radioactive materials safely and according to regulations.
- Ensure accurate data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Answer unit phone and direct calls accordingly.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- ARRT(N) certification
- BLS certification
- CNMT certification
- State License
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience with adult patients
- Hospital experience
- Nuclear Cardiology experience
- EPIC experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with Phillips and Siemens equipment
- Experience with Gastric Emptying HIDA Scan Muga Scan Bone Scan Brain Scan Liver/Spleen Scan Lung Scan Renal Flow Shunt Studies Thyroid Studies Tumor Localization and SPECT scans.
Special Considerations:

- Every other weekend coverage is required.

- 4/10s shifts 7:00 - 17:30
