We are seeking an Advanced SAP ABAP Developer to join the groups DevOps team specifically supporting the Customs and Foreign Trade product.

This role is critical for ensuring the sustainable design and technical delivery of IT solutions that manage international trade processes within complex shifting global legal requirements.

You will work closely with business departments at the FR (Financial Reporting) and Customs headquarters to translate functional needs into robust technical developments.

Customs & Trade Specialist: Develop and maintain SAP solutions that facilitate global trade compliance and foreign trade processes.

Technical Mastery: 5 years of deep experience in SAP ABAP and Fiori with a focus on delivering high-quality code in an international environment.

Financial Integration: Apply your business process knowledge in the Finance (FI) area to ensure seamless data flow and reporting.

Product / Team Context:

The Customs Product ensures the design and delivery of foreign trade processes within a complex changing legal environment.

As part of the team you will act as the technical engine converting business requirements into scalable SAP ABAP and Fiori applications that meet global compliance standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant IT / Business Degree or Technical Qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP and Fiori development.
• Essential: Business process knowledge within the Finance (FI) domain.
• Proven experience working within international teams.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

• SAP ABAP
• Extensive experience in solution design process configuration and parameterization following a global template approach
• Proficiency using collaboration and ALM tools such as Jira Confluence and Xray (or equivalent)
• Flexibility to take up different tasks in the feature team

Advantageous Skills:

• Prior exposure to SAP HANA performance considerations and data migration approaches
• SAP GTS (Similar development framework to SAP EWM/CRM)
• Familiarity with FI/CO modules and related master data impacts
• Experience with Go-Live and hyper care activities for finance-focused implementations
• BTP integration scenarios

Key Responsibilities:

• ABAP / Fiori coding & debugging (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)
• Understand the business requirements preparing AS-IS and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document
• Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing
• Integration testing with other modules
• Understand interfaces IDOC and RFCs processing
• Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
• Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
• Interaction with clients through meetings calls and emails
• Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
• Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support
• Executing the required changes through configuration
• Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
• Raising Change Requests (CRs) and writing Functional Specifications for them
• Preparing test data for testing of CRs (Change Requests)
• Testing CRs (Change Requests) and preparing test results
• Carrying out regression testing
• Interact with consultants of other modules
