Role:- SAP Consultant – ABAP

Role Objective :
Design build customize and deploy responsive role-based user interfaces for SAP
applications in line with SAP standards industry best practices and the S/4HANA
transformation project requirements. This role focuses on delivering high-quality Fiori
developments primarily using Fiori/SAPUI5 RAP ABAP JavaScript and OData
services including enhancements and extensibility aligned with the clean core strategy
integrating front-end apps with S/4HANA/ECC back-ends performance optimization
debugging and issue resolution testing support documentation and knowledge
transfer. Additionally collaborate with functional teams to align applications with
business needs.

*Key Responsibilities*
• Design and deliver high-quality SAP UI and Fiori experiences for S/4HANA
landscapes.
• Develop enterprise-grade SAP Fiori elements (List Reports Object Pages) and
Freestyle SAPUI5 applications using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)
ensuring compliance with SAP Fiori Design Guidelines
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori user interfaces by leveraging Core Data Services
(CDS) annotations to control data display layout and behavior in List Reports
Object Pages etc.
• Design and configure SAP Fiori Launchpad content structures including the use of
classic catalogs and groups and the modern spaces and pages paradigm in SAP
S/4HANA environments
• Develop and maintain ABAP programs enhancements and custom objects to
support functional processes and ensure high-quality SAP solution delivery.
• Collaborate with SAP Authorization team to configure role-based access by linking
designed spaces and catalogs to PFCG business roles ensuring users have access
to relevant and logically structured applications in their Fiori Launchpad
• Utilize SAP BTP tools such as Build Work Zone to enhance user engagement and
productivity.
• Translate business and user requirements into detailed UI designs.
• Analyze current and proposed SAP Fiori applications and customizations for optimal
performance.
• Review workflows and logic flowcharts to support UI modifications.
• Perform hands-on Fiori/ SAPUI5 development debugging unit testing and
maintenance.
• Implement enhancements and develop new SAP Fiori components as needed.
• Guide clients in transitioning from ECC GUI or Enterprise Portal to next-generation UI
solutions.

*Educational Qualification*
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• SAP Certified in at least one of the SAP Development Technologies.

*Professional Experience*
• Minimum of 9 years of hands-on experience in general SAP UI application
development with involvement in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP Implementation projects
as ABAP/Fiori Developer.
• Relevant experience working with ABAP-based SAP solutions delivering backend
developments and supporting complex business requirements across SAP modules.
• Preferred experience in Fiori/SAPUI5 development for SAP S/4HANA and Oil & Gas
industry implementation.

*Technical Skills*
• Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript HTML CSS and SAPUI5 framework.
• Solid understanding of SAP Fiori development tools and SAP BTP UI services.
• Proficient in RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) Fiori freestyle apps and OData
integration.
• Skilled in ABAP development including CDS views OData services and SAP
NetWeaver Gateway.
• Development Experience with Eclipse ADT BAS etc.
• Ability to design and create wireframes and prototypes for intuitive UI solutions.
• Expertise in developing user-friendly interfaces aligned with SAP design principles.
• Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA application development.
• Familiarity with SAP’s UI/UX modernization roadmap and best practices.
• Proficient in ABAP development including data dictionary objects reports
enhancements function modules and debugging techniques.
• Experience in documenting business requirements and maintaining quality checklists.
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies such as Tricentis
Signavio LeanIX Integration Suite and others.
