Job Duties:

Under the supervision of the AssistantDirector of Student Recreation the Student RecreationOperationsCoordinator providesoversight and support for the general Student Recreation facility operations. This position is primarily responsible for membership access policy development/enforcementprogrammarketingand student staffing of the Student is astrongemphasis on student developmenttrainingand availability/support when student staff are weekends and some holiday work will berequired.

The coordinatorassistsinhiringsupervisingand training ofstudent staff to effectively carry out the mission of these programareas andinteracts closely with students in providing effective and impactful connection opportunities; so that students might find belonging on campus andsubsequentlysucceed as students at UW Oshkosh.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Special Event/Monthly IncentiveProgramming:(20%)

  • Assistevent and rental group set up and support.

  • AssistwithHealth & Wellnessspecial eventsand incentive programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Other duties as assigned:

  • Departmental Marketing Assistance

  • Event Support (Rec Plex rentals etc.)

Emergency Response Training and Equipment Repair Coordination:(25%)

  • Develop and coordinate ongoing training and testing of student staff in emergency response: CPR/First Aidbuildingand environmental emergencies.

  • Coordinate with vendors to order andrepair equipment as needed.

Coordinate Albee Pool Open Swim Hours:(10%)

  • Hirescheduleand superviseLife Guardstaff

  • Promote open swim program to campus community.

  • Assistin pool reservation/scheduling.

Administrative Support:(20%)

  • Provide primary Admin support for department.

  • POspurchasing payroll tracking

  • Coordinate with service vendors (repair project maintenance).

  • Credit Card purchases

  • Occasionalsupport for Sport Club program.

Membership Services:(25%)

  • Assistin the recruiting hiring training schedulingand supervision ofstudent staff.

  • Developandmaintainregular communication with student staff/faculty members.

  • Create and market incentives for membership growth to staff/faculty.

Student Health and Wellness- Recreation Center

Compensation:

$44000 commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Recreational Sports or related field
  • Adult First Aid/CPR/AED or able to obtain within first 30 days
  • Experience working in Recreation industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years working in full-time recreation position
  • Facility management experience
  • Experience with supervision and team management
  • Experience with purchasing hiring and administrative tasks
