Senior Analyst Capital & Fixed Assets (Manufacturing)

Department: Finance Manufacturing / Operations
Reports To: Manager Finance Operations

Saray Range: $96000 - $110000

This salary range is applicable only to roles performed in Ontario Canada and is disclosed in accordance with local pay transparency regulations.
Compensation for roles performed outside Ontario including in the United States will be determined based on applicable market data and is not required to be disclosed.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Analyst Capital & Fixed Assets to lead financial governance of capital projects and fixed assets across our manufacturing network. This role provides critical oversight of CapEx spending project performance asset utilization and internal controls while partnering closely with Operations Engineering and Corporate Accounting.

What Youll Do

Capital Projects & Forecasting

• Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects including business cases approvals tracking and closeout.
• Lead annual CapEx budgeting and monthly forecasting; provide clear variance analysis.
• Maintain the consolidated capital project register and monitor WIP/CIP aging.

Fixed Asset Management & Idle Assets

• Maintain an accurate asset register for all manufacturing sites.
• Track idle obsolete and underutilized assets; support redeployment or disposal decisions.
• Identify impairment triggers and support related accounting entries.

Impairments AROs & Compliance

• Prepare financial analysis for annual and ad-hoc impairment reviews.
• Support the assessment and recording of asset retirement obligations (AROs).
• Ensure proper asset classification valuation and documentation.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits related to CapEx and fixed assets.
• Prepare reconciliations audit schedules and documentation.
• Strengthen controls around project approval capitalization tagging and disposals.

Physical Verification

• Lead periodic fixed-asset physical counts across manufacturing facilities.
• Reconcile results to the ledger and resolve discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Operations Engineering and Procurement to maintain cost discipline and project accountability.
• Enhance CapEx and asset reporting through ERP Tagetik and Power BI.
• Support continuous improvement in capital project governance and asset management processes.

What You Bring

• CPA/CMA preferred; degree in Finance Accounting Business or Engineering.
• 510 years in manufacturing finance cost accounting or project controls.
• Strong understanding of CapEx WIP/CIP fixed assets depreciation and impairments.
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE SAP) and financial reporting tools (Power BI Tagetik).
• Excellent communication analytical ability and partnering skills.
