Scheduled: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Description:

Assists and learns to maintain facilities and grounds (lawns tress shrubs parking lots side walks etc.) year round. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturers specifications using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Polices hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire theft vandalism and illegal entry. Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning routes or detains them or call the police. Ability to work in various weather conditions and during off hours.

Qualifications:

Essential Functions:

Operate powered equipment such as lawn mowers edgers hedge trimmers tractors and other gas-powered equipment related to maintaining the lawns trees and shrubs and landscaped areas.
Use hand tools such as shovels rakes along with hand-held electric power tools. Gather and remove litter.
Mix and spray herbicides or insecticides onto grass shrubs and trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.

Preferred:

Experience with the following tools preferred:

Cultivators Lawnmowers Gators Fertilizer spreaders or distributors or levelers

Experience with the following technology preferred:

Electronic mail software-Outlook Operating System software-Microsoft Windows
