Position Responsibilities:

Perform construction project management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to new builds or general capital projects including ownership of the project scope quality schedule and budget. Work with construction general contractors during the bidding award execution and project closeout/punch list phases. Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy. Create construction project scope and request for proposals and perform financial analysis of construction. Create constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs associated with the construction of new data centers or optimization of existing data centers. Perform construction document management including submittal review RFIs change orders and invoicing. Conduct construction project quality control. Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management. Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis associated with equipment failures.

Position Requirements:

Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Employer will also except a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Masters degree degree and two years of experience. Must have two years of experience in the following skills: (1) managing construction of large complex projects involving largescale mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants; (2) general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals bidding change orders quality control RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution; (3) constructing electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution and generation gear; and (4) constructing mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems. Domestic travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
