Position Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Technician Interventional Cardiology
Location: New York NY 10065
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (07:00 AM 03:00 PM) MondayFriday
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to support advanced cardiac procedures in a high-acuity Interventional Cardiology EP Lab setting. The EP Technician will play a critical role in assisting physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias ensuring precision safety and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures including ablations and device implants
- Operate and monitor EP lab equipment including mapping and recording systems
- Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field ensuring proper setup of EP lab equipment
- Continuously monitor patient condition and respond to changes during procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality care
- Accurately document procedures and patient data
- Maintain compliance with safety standards infection control policies and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program in one of the following:
- Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Cardiovascular Technology
- Or equivalent education and relevant experience
- Required Certifications (one of the following):
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- IBHRE Certification
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Additional Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy physiology and hemodynamics
- Hands-on experience with electrophysiology lab equipment and devices
