The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. This role involves administering treatments monitoring patient responses and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patients with respiratory conditions.
Operate and manage respiratory equipment including ventilators.
Assist in airway management and emergency response situations.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff on patient care plans.
Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Schedule & Work Environment
Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Flexible scheduling options:
3x12 or 4x12 shifts per week
Acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (state-specific)
Experience in respiratory care (acute care preferred)
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Preferred Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
