Working Student (fmd) AI Automation Engineer – Quality Automation

Become part of an international quality and engineering organization that is driving AIenabled automation for engineering and release processes. As a Working Student AI Automation Engineer you will contribute to the development and scaling of automation solutions that replace manual artifact checks with structured repeatable and scalable quality validation.

You will work closely with Quality Engineers Software Engineers and Automation Leads to build deterministic automation workflow orchestration and AIsupported quality analysis with direct impact on release readiness.

We are looking for a Working Student (f/m/d)for approximately 18 hours per weekat our Hamburg site starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a quality automation frameworkfor engineering deliverables
• Design and implement deterministic automation checks such as:
  • Deliverable presence and accessibility checks
  • Naming conventions structure and metadata validation
  • Rulebased completeness and consistency checks
• Develop and maintain automation workflows using n8n
• Implement scripts and parsers (e.g. Python JavaScript) to extract and process structured data from engineering artifacts
• Support AIassisted quality analysis by preparing structured inputs and automation outputs
• Define and maintain automation rulesusing configuration files (e.g. YAML JSON)
• Generate reports dashboards and summariesfor quality and release readiness
• Support integrations with collaboration and tracking tools (e.g. notifications ticket creation)
• Create and maintain technical documentation and presentations
• Support Quality Gates process updates and release preparation activities (approximately 2030% of the role) ensuring automation results and quality status are reflected consistently in gate/readiness discussions and followups

Profile

• Ongoing Bachelors or Masters studies in Computer Science Software Engineering Automation Data Science AI or a related technical field
• Experience or strong interest in workflow automation or RPA tools preferably n8n
• Programming skillsin at least one language (e.g. Python JavaScript)
• Basic understanding of APIs system integrations and structured data formats(JSON XML)
• Interest in quality engineering automation of engineering processes and release readiness
• Ability to analyze and structure complex technical topics
• Very good English skills
• Structured reliable and selfdriven working style
