Job Summary
The Department of Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering ( IMSE ) at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for two tenure/tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor/Full Professor levels. Both candidates will be expected to teach courses in engineering management but their research portfolios may more broadly include engineering management systems engineering and/or operations research. Ideal candidates will also possess a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and the ability to secure and execute externally funded research.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and teach courses to prepare the workforce for careers in engineering management. Lead research projects in engineering management systems engineering and/or operations research with researchers at UT Arlington the Dallas/Fort Worth region and across the country. Establish and maintain a research program through externally funded programs. Assist in directing UT Arlingtons vision in engineering management systems engineering and/or operations research.
Required Qualifications
A Ph. D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field. Evidence of the ability to teach and develop courses in engineering management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence of leading and developing diverse teams to solve complex engineering problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting research in engineering management systems engineering and/or operations research. Professional experience in engineering management systems engineering and/or operations research. Experience developing courses in engineering management. Ability to build successful relationships with industry.
