Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to support cardiac electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EP lab equipment strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics and the ability to assist physicians during complex interventional procedures.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Day shift: Monday Friday
- 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM 3:00 PM)
- Acute care hospital setting
- No weekend requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases
- Operate and maintain EP lab equipment and monitoring systems
- Monitor and record hemodynamic data during procedures
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms in accordance with sterile protocols
- Support device implantation procedures (pacemakers ICDs ablations etc.)
- Ensure proper functioning and troubleshooting of EP equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with procedure reporting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience
- One of the following certifications (required):
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- IBHRE Certification
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy physiology and hemodynamics
- Demonstrated experience working with EP lab devices and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in high-volume EP labs
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac mapping systems and ablation technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
