Job Summary

Enterprise Analytics Data Analyst 6 month contract with possible extension

Our client is a global leader in professional this role you will work with business teams delivery Enterprise Data Analytics solutions that help the organization make strategic decisions.

The Role:

Work with business teams to explore their current technical and data landscape and to complete discovery phase activities in preparation for requirements elicitation.
Define and document business requirements technical requirements and functional specifications for new projects and change requests ensuring all stakeholders are consulted and informed.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure all documented requirements are fully reviewed and approved.
Collaborate with data engineers and architects across Azure-based data platforms (ADF Databricks Synapse) to support end-to-end data solutions
Support the Enterprise Analytics team in troubleshooting operational issues.
Map and analyze data flows across modern data platforms (e.g. ADF Databricks Synapse) ensuring traceability lineage and data integrity from source to consumption
Complete analysis on datasets of varying sizes and clearly communicate the resulting insights to stakeholders enabling them to make informed business decisions.
Support analysis and validation of data pipelines including ingestion transformation and data movement across systems
Support the definition and execution of data quality checks including reconciliation anomaly detection and validation of transformation logic across pipelines
Collaborate with Quality Assurance analysts during their testing of Enterprise Analytics projects.
Engage with the Enterprise Analytics team to continuously improve the programs methodology including document templates pipeline management and reporting solutions.
Work with the Data Management team to support and maintain data analytics standards across the organization ensuring relevant data standards and policies are observed in all Enterprise Analytics projects.
Support initiatives involving Microsoft Fabric including understanding of Lakehouse architecture and semantic data models for reporting and analytics

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a data analysis role including large-scale data transformation projects.
Ability to analyze and document data source systems data objects linage applications data usage and privacy.
Exceptional communication skills including the ability to deliver concise requirements and flow diagrams.
Ability to forge consensus within a group of stakeholders to deliver a solution that works for all.
Knowledge of agile methodology and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a creative approach and superior design aesthetics.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle) with exposure to modern cloud-based data platforms
Experience with modern Azure-based data platforms including Azure Data Factory Databricks (Spark) Synapse Analytics and exposure to Microsoft Fabric; with a solid understanding of data pipelines Lakehouse architecture and large-scale data processing.
Understanding of data governance concepts including data lineage data classification and handling of sensitive/PII data
