In this roleyoullserve as theEthics Intake Analyst(Investigator Principal Administrative Analyst) combining technicalexpertise and leadership tosupportthe Ethics Investigationfunction.Youllparticipatein investigationsalongside senior staff;research emerging trends in government lawstoensure the ethics initiatives remainproactive and effective;andpreparestatistical and narrative reportsthatdemonstratethe progress of Ethics Office initiatives. WhatYoullDo
- Collaborate with Assistant Ethics Officer Deputy Ethics Officer and staff toparticipatein investigations of alleged misconduct and ethics policy violations.
- Evaluate existing ethics policies andinitiativestomake recommendations thatstrengthen oversight and effectiveness.
- Research trends in government laws internal policies and professional ethics and oversight practices.
- Prepare statistical and narrative reports to support government reporting requirements andmonitorthe progress of Ethics Office initiatives.
- Collect analyze and interpret data related to employment and ethics-related activities.
- Assess key procedural factors including due process protections confidentiality of information and protection of sources.
Schedule:44/36 Monday through Friday /Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day 8 hours per day every other Friday.Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm.
Hybrid: Metropolitans current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational addition a telework policy is scheduled fornegotiations and once completed and implemented will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience
Relevant Experience is defined as:Intake and investigation experience in agovernment/public sector Ethics Department.
Desirable Qualifications: Formally trained at a government academy or government training program in conducting interviews obtaining evidence and investigative procedures
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California Class C Drivers License or equivalent(at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
