Core Responsibilities
- Financial Management:Overseeing all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations.
- Reporting:Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements in accordance with manufacturer requirements and dealership guidelines.
- Payroll & HR:Managing payroll processing maintaining confidential personnel files and coordinating employee benefits like health and life insurance.
- Accounts Payable: Managing invoicing procedures and processing accounts payable each month.
- Inventory Control:Reconciling vehicle inventory schedules floor plan payoffs and managing manufacturer incentives or rebates.
- Compliance:Ensuring the dealership remains compliant with federal and state regulations tax reporting and internal audits.
- Staff Supervision: Hiring training and mentoring administrative staff such as receptionists cashiers and accounting clerks.
